Mission

“We are Theatre Practitioners dedicated to creating new work for all people. We strive to offer theatrical experiences that are immediate, flexible and provocative. We wish to stimulate the conditioned and unconditioned audience to experience theatre for its own sake and develop a theatrical dialogue that is meaningful to them in the now... and for the future”

Company History

The Quarter Too Ensemble is a company of actors lead by Glenn Tillin dedicated to producing new and accessible theatre, workshops and collaborative community based projects. The company aims to provide quality, innovative and exciting theatre for people of all ages. We have built a company from varied backgrounds whose method of work incorporates a range of theatrical devices such as puppetry, traditional storytelling, clowning, physical theatre and object manipulation. Shows also feature original, live music composed and performed by the cast.

‘Quarter Too’ was founded in 2005 when members began regular developmental workshops in South East London. The company made its debut in children’s theatre with the story of ‘Gruff’ for the Bromley Arts Festival in 2007. This prompted the Churchill Theatre to invite the company to continue its artistic growth in their studio space and so ‘Huff’ was born.

The Company went on to create a repertoire of small scale storytelling shows based on well known fairy tales such as 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears', 'Jack and the Bean Stalk' and 'Little Red Riding Hood'.

Quarter Too believe in the nature of the true ensemble: a company that trains together to develop an understanding and dialogue, creating an environment in which to further their artistic growth and communicate their skills and knowledge to anyone.

Alongside their professional productions Quarter Too are involved in various educational, local community and outreach projects involving all ages and abilities.
